The Texas Amendments Election is being held Tuesday November, 7 , 2017 and voters are encouraged to go out and vote.
During the early voting process of the election, voter apathy prevailed with only 60 votes cast in a 10 day span from October 23 to November 3, 2017.

   The Eagle Pass Independent School District Tax Ratification Election came to a close on Saturday with the majority of local voters electing to approve the slight increase.

Maverick County Judge David R. Saucedo recently spoke about the upcoming bond election, issues stemming from a defunct rollback petition, and the county’s situation against a group of individuals who are taking their stance against the county in the issue.

At the Commissioners Court meeting on February 13, 2017 Roy Schmerber of the Maverick County Elections Office confirmed that taxpayers successfully collected the required minimum number of petition signatures to require the County to hold an election before issuing its Certificates of Obligation.

   Eagle Pass Mayor Ramsey E. Cantu officially registered his candidacy for re-election to the position of Mayor on Monday, January 23 at the Eagle Pass City Hall with Eagle Pass City Secretary Imelda B. Rodriguez.
