Internationally known motivational speaker Raul Magdaleno addressed ninth grade students from Eagle Pass High School and C.C. Winn High School on Friday, May 2.

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) GEAR UP IV hosted the event in observance of efforts by Generation Texas to motivate and encourage students to graduate from high school and enroll in university classes.

"You cannot become what you can't see," he told a large gathering of freshmen at Eagle Pass High School at his first of two presentations of the day, "You can't be what you can't see so we're raising, raising the bar.  The next time someone is crazy enough to ask you 'Who do you think you are?' <'¿Quien te crees?'> you're going to tell them 'I don't QUIT and I don't CARE!'"
