On Thursday May 1st, at approximately 3:29 PM, Maverick County Sheriff's office responded to a motor vehicle accident by Maverick County Lake.
Upon arrival, deputies observed an unoccupied purple Dodge Caravan SE that had collided into a wooden post.

Students for three EPISD campuses joined forces on Sunday April 27th, to demonstrate their community pride and take part in some Spring Cleaning.
Keeping our environment clean takes work and these students were up to the challenge. The project called on a three different EPISD campuses to join forces and pick up trash along an adopted section of the Texas highway.

Media Tech departments from across the state are participating in the Fifth Annual Frontera Film Festival which is being held at CC Winn High School.
A select panel of judges which represent the print media, television, film and radio converged on the school on Tuesday and Wednesday to judge the over 150 entries in this year's event in various categories ranging from two major divisions which are film and non-film such as 8-12 minute film, 5-8 minute film, 2-5 minute film, :30-2 minute film, experimental film and animation, sports video, music video, cheer-dance video, informative story, :30 second commercial and :30 second Public Service Announcements.

Over 60 bicycle enthusiasts from across South Texas and Mexico descended on Eagle Pass for the first of hopefully many international bike races to be put on by La Vega racing here in Eagle Pass on the new Loop 480 hence the name of the event, La Nogalera where racers could meander through the pecan trees there.
