The Eagles would come up to bat first Eric Gonzalez flies out to left, RJ Ruiz hits a hard ground ball between the third baseman and the shortstop and Reagan's Andres Sosa makes an ESPN highlight play, Mando Lopez hits a shot, a line drive to center which Brian Warthurst makes a diving catch, completely laying out to snag the baseball out of the air. End of threat, end of inning. Those were the kind of defensive plays that had to be made to aid their respective teams to victory.

En un tributo apropiado y oportuno a un hombre que durante muchos años trabajó para ayudar a los ciudadanos de Eagle Pass y el condado de Maverick, Luis Alfonso Aguado fue galardonado con el 2014 de Eagle Pass Cámara de Comercio de Pedro Márquez, padre de Becas en frente de cientos de padres, hermanos, hermanas, familiares y generales de simpatizantes en el 2014 CC Winn Premios de la High School Nightque se llevo a cabo el 20 de mayo.
La posta del VFW No. 8562 tendra su traditional ceremonia del dia Memorial el Viernes 30 de Mayo 2014, a las 11:00 de la mañana en el Laguito del Condado. Participaran en la ceremonia la banda de la Memorial Jr. High School, los cadetes del 92avo AFJRROTC, The Girl Scouts del Suroeste de Texas, El capellan del VFW Mr. Rogelio Reyna, Mr. Esteban Salas, Mr. Sammy Lerma, Sra. Jessica Cavazos, el asistente del capellan del VFW Mr. Estevan Salas, la escuadra de fusileros del VFW, y el orador principal sera el Sr. John Salazar.
Dustin De La Garza, who will be competing at the State FFA Talent Contest at Fort Worth from July 14th through the 18th. Dustin played medleys of classic country and southern rock hits such as Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" at the annual FFA Banquet this past Monday. He along with Alexis De La Garza (Soil Stewardship) and Dakota Betancourt (Prepared Public Speaking) will be up against the state's finest and they will be accompanied by Sponsors Charlie Cardenas, Juan Garcia and Jenny & Boogie Purcell.

The Board of Directors of the Maverick County Hospital District were running a little late yet made quorum on Wednesday, May 28th at their Regular Board of Directors Meeting and the board made at least one decision which will positively impact the community in the long run.
McDonald’s owner-operators Mrs. Martha Mendoza, Elena and Manuel Pacheco congratulate all their 2014 graduating Senior team members from both Eagle Pass high schools with gifts and a luncheon at the Main Street restaurant
location. Mr. and Mrs. Uriegas of CC Winn High School also attended to support and congratulate the students.
Rick Munt, McDonald’s Supervisor and Angie Elizondo, General Manager hosted the luncheon.

Un duplex estalló en llamas cuando sus inquilinos estaban posiblemente en el trabajo ylos niños en la escuela aproximadamente a la 1:45 PM ya que cinco unidades del Departamento de Bomberos de Eagle Pass fueron enviados al 2900 Bloque de Rodriguez Street en Las Minas.
