The Eagle Pass Independent School District is making the final preparations for the move back to the Language Development Center from the former building that housed Austin Elementary.
The school's operations were moved from its original location on Veteran's Boulevard to Austin when it was detected that mold which grew as a result of the flooding of June 2013 affected the buildings walls and posed a health risk to all students, staff and faculty.

On, Wednesday, June 25th, Mr. Horacio Ramos from Eagle Pass 411 came to the Boys and Girls Club of Eagle Pass to give our members a presentation about online safety.
The purpose for the presentation is to teach our children the importance of safely while navigating the web.

Officers assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to the City of eagle Pass Aquatic Center where they encountered a male subject in wet shorts walking towards the pool. The male subject was questioned and informed officers he was returning to the pool to look for his cellphone. Officers checked the pool area and discovered several bottles of alcohol which the male subject admitted to having in the pool area.

Deputies responded to Eagle Point Road Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 5:33 PM in regards to a single motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, deputies observed a 2011 black Dodge Ram Pickup on its left side. The driver of the pickup, Sergio Moreno-Bravo, a resident of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, stated he was heading towards Eagle Point Ranch when he was distracted by a phone call on his mobile phone.
Mr. Moreno further stated that he struck the median where the gate panel is located and the impact caused the Ram to flip on its side.
Eagle Pass EMS and Rescue arrived at the scene but Mr. Moreno refused further medical treatment.

Officers assigned to the Eagle Pass Police Department Patrol Division responded to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in reference to a theft.
Officers were informed by Loss Prevention staff of adult male and two adult females who entered the store and obtained several items from clothing racks.

Deputies responded to a robbery in progress at the County Corner and Snack Store on FM 2030 in Chula Vista Sunday, July 6th.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with two employees and and eyewitness at the location.
