Man Accused of Stabbing Eyes of Spouse Out on Bail

On Thursday afternoon, Luis Flores, 45, the man accused of cutting the eyes of his wife last week, has been released from the Tom Bowles Detention Center according to records at the Maverick County Sheriff's Department.

The charges facing Flores are Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon according to police records.

These violent acts occurred last week.

Tom Schmerber, Maverick County Sheriff, released information stating that while Flores has been released, he has been specifically ordered to stay away from the victim in the stabbing, his wife, Aracely Flores.

A local bail bonds company took charge of arranging his release.

The bond set of $1 million was reduced to $100,000 which allowed him to pay a sum of $10,000.00 to get out of jail and he is thus obligated to appear in court on the date which will be set by the Maverick County District Attorney's Office and District Court when his criminal trial will begin.

The sheriff also informed The News Gram that the victim in the stabbing has also been released from a San Antonio Hospital and she has in fact lost the vision in one of her eyes.
