The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department reported that 32-year-old Jose Felipe Cásares and 33- yearold Jorge Alberto Cásares were arrested on burglary of a habitation charge on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. 

The Maverick County Hospital District will begin to look into finding assistance to victims of sexual assault by looking to train, recruit Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Nurse(s) and work with other organizations including law enforcement agencies to do so. MCHD Board Trustee Adolfo Olivares is looking to hopefully change the way victims of sexual assault/abuse are treated in our community.
