The Eagle Pass International Bridge System has reported a decrease in vehicle crossings for January of 2018.
Bridge System reports show that during the month of January there was a 3.4 percent decrease when compared to January of 2017. The decrease accounts for  7,084 less vehicle crossings during this time period.

MVA haunts traffic on overpass

A tractor trailer crashed into the guard rail of the N. Veterans’s Blvd. overpass Friday morning, ending up on the opposite side of the roadway and haulting traffic. The Eagle Pass Police Dept. responded to the scene to control traffic and assisited in the removal of the 18-wheeler. There were no serious injuries as a result of the collision.

The City of Eagle Pass Bridge System continues to see a decrease in pedestrian traffic.

TRAFFIC ALERT REMINDER

Beginning on May 3, 2017, Zumwalt Construction is scheduled to begin work on Business (BU) 277 in Eagle Pass/Maverick Co. Therefore, alternate lane closures will be in effect. Limits of the project are from Veterans Blvd to Ceylon St for an approximate length of 1.5 miles. The work will consist of mill & inlay of asphalt pavement. The project duration is about 2 months.
