  Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that 39-year-old Frank Velasquez Jr. was arrested under charges of sexual assault of a minor on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

The Eagle Pass Police Department were called to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center on Thursday, December 14, regarding a possible sexual assault.

Upon arrival law enforcement officials were notified that a juvenile female had been brought in to the emergency room claiming that she had been sexually assaulted.

  Two males from Maverick County who had been accused of sexual assault and indecency with a child by contact have been sentenced to prison. 

Professionals in the Eagle Pass area will have the opportunity to receive free training on sexual issues presented by the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault.

Eagle Pass Police Department detectives have arrested a man  for the sexual assault case that had been under investigation since March 6.
