AUSTIN – Applications for the 2018 Don’t mess with Texas Scholarship contest are now being accepted. Eligible applicants include any Texas high school senior currently attending public, private or home school and planning to attend an accredited Texas college or university in the coming year. 

The City of Eagle Pass held a presentation of scholarships on Friday, August 4 to the winners of the various beauty pageants the city sponsors during March. 

   During April, Bealls Department Store in Eagle Pass held their semi-annual “30 Days of Giving Campaign”. Customers who shopped at the local Bealls store throughout April had the opportuntiy to donate an amount of their choosing to benefit a local organization.
