The Eagle Pass Public Library through the City Grant Administration is currently waiting for information on a grant application for the Public Library iPad Project. This grant is sponsored through the Wal-Mart Foundation Community Youth and Family Educational Program.

 The Eagle Pass City Council discussed the construction of a water detention pond and the acquisition by donation of a property for such project at their meeting held on Tuesday March 7.

The Eagle Pass City Council tabled a resolution that would amend the original 2016 Colonias Self Help Center Program Contract 7215003 that intended $620,000 for concrete lining the canal behind Memorial Junior High School at their meeting held on Tuesday January 24, allowing Maverick County to respond on certain issues that had yet to be agreed upon.
