County adds two polling sites for $8.5 million COB election

The Maverick County Commissioners Court has added two new election polling sites the bond election to be held on May 6, 2017.

A group of Maverick County taxpayers who submitted a petition with 1,488 signatures to impede the Maverick County Commissioners Court from proceeding to issue out $8.5 Million in Certificates of Obligation (CO’s) received what they so desired on Friday, February 17.
County to meet on Friday for $8.5 Million COB election
The petition submitted by a group of concerned tax payers for an election on the $8.5 million certificates of obligation has been declared valid, and the decision whether or not to conduct an election will be made this Friday at the Maverick County Commissioners’ Court special meeting.
