Walgreens kicks off Red Nose Program
Walgreens in Eagle Pass launched their Red Nose program on April 2 through June 2, 2018.,
Since 2015 Walgreens has raised approximately $20,000,000 with $13,000,000 coming from the Red Nose Program.
Store Managers Ed Cortez, Diana Alvarado and employees were joined by Texas State Representative Poncho Nevarez to launch the life saving campaign in Eagle Pass, Texas
“We’re glad to be part of a campaign that does so much to eradicate hunger and poverty,” said Nevarez. “We urge the community to stop by Walgreens and donate to this worthy cause.”
“We’re making a life-changing difference for children and young people in the United States and in some of the poorest counties across the world,” states Cortez.
“We invite the community on down to participate in this woonderful fund raising program which assists millions of individuals on a yearly basis,” added Alvarado.
Funds raised by the program are donated to charities who demonstrate they are doing work in the US and overseas to help end child poverty.
Red Nose Day is a seven-week fundraising campaign where funds are raised throughout the country to fight childhood poverty.
