The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department received an emergency call on Monday afternoon regarding a reported theft in progress at a store in Seco Mines. 

Sheriff’s Department Deputies and the Constable’s Office for Pct. 3 AB responded to the call.

Victor Javier Rivas was arrested Wednesday morning after an incident that occurred on Friday night in which he led Maverick County Sheriff Department deputies on a high speed chase in the Precinct 2 casino area.

   A 14-year-old male lead Maverick County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed chase for more than half an hour Wednesday evening after stealing his mother’s vehicle.
