Man injures leg after accidentally shooting himself
Jesus Valles, 52, from Eagle Pass, was taken to the emergency room after he accidentally shot himself in the knee.
The Maverick County Sheriff Department responded to the Eidson Road area of the community at approximately 3:30 am on Tuesday April 3rd to respond to the call.

Armed man threatens couple
According to a press release issued January 17, it was reported that Eagle Pass officers had responded to a convenience store within the 2100 block of El Indio Highway in reference to a report of a man with a gun Friday afternoon.
Investigating officers spoke with male and female complainants who informed officers of a male subject in an older model red truck who brandished an unknown type of firearm towards them while stopped in traffic. The complainants informed the officers they fled the area and called for police assistance. A description of the vehicle and subject was obtained. The case remains under investigation.

Según un comunicado de prensa emitido el 17 de enero, se informó que los agentes de Eagle Pass habían respondido a una tienda de conveniencia dentro del bloque 2100 de la carretera El Indio en referencia a un informe de un hombre con un arma el viernes por la tarde.
Los agentes de la investigación hablaron con los denunciantes masculinos y femeninos que informaron a los oficiales de un sujeto masculino en un camión rojo con un tipo desconocido de arma de fuego que se dirigieron hacia ellos en el trafico. Los quejosos informaron a los agentes que la persona huyó de la zona y pidieron asistencia a policia. Se obtuvo una descripción del vehículo y del sujeto. El caso sigue bajo investigación.
