  The Maverick County Commissioners Court held their regular monthly meeting on Monday August 14 in which they took action on two agenda items regarding the Texas Community Development Block Grant 2017/2018 Colonia Construction (CFC) Grant Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture and the selection of the project under the 2017/2018 TXCDBG Colonia Construction (CFC) application of approximately $500,000.

  On Thursday, March 9, Sheriff Tom Schmerber announced that after working toward securing funding from a state grant since July 2016, the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department had received the money to purchase much needed body cameras for deputies.
