The Family Dollar store on Del Rio Blvd. is preparing to close its doors as of May 2 , 2018. The store is currently discounting all its merchandise up to 25% off as they prepare to shut down operations.
Sources have mentioned that the closing of the store is due to low sales and that it is expected to be turned into a Dollar Tree.

The Maverick County Commissioners Court held a meeting on Monday, September 24 in which they discussed and approved the  2017-2018 Maverick County Solid Waste Authority Landfill budget.

   After 20 years in the downtown area, Payless Shoe Source has officially closed its doors after liquidating their merchandise for the last several months.

Payless Shoe Source has announced the closing of over 400 stores across the nation, including 66 in the State of Texas, one of which is located in Eagle Pass, according to a document released by the company this week.

A list of 138 JC Penney locations that will be closing due to low sales has been released by the retail chain.

Sirloin Stockade will be closing after decades in business, just one week after Danny’s restaurant, also based out of Laredo, was closed.

Local mexican food restaurant, Danny’s, located on 2647 N. Veterans Blvd. has closed. 

Local management did not release any information, but  the Laredo headquarters has confirmed that the restaurant franchise has officially closed for business.
