HEB held a field trip factory event hosting the Cub Scouts Pack 274 Webelos on Wednesday October 11, 2017.

County officials including Maverick County Judge David Saucedo, District Judge Amado Abascal, County Clerk Sara Montemayor, and District Clerk Leopoldo Vielma hosted three 6 grade classes from Seco Mines Elementary at the Maverick County Courthouse on Thursday.

Over the next few weeks, the Eagle Pass Fire Department will be giving information on fire safety, focusing heavily on the importance of smoke detectors.  

“[The smoke detector theme] has been a three year campaign. The National Fire Protection Association, based on input from fire departments across America, have determined that the smoke detectors or alarms have truly made an impact in survivability, injury prevention, and loss of homes, therefore they initiated a program that would last for 3 consecutive years,” said Fire Marshal Rodolfo Cardona.
