County replaces Nevarez in pending legal matters
The Maverick County Commissioners Court has withdrawn Attorney Poncho Nevarez as counsel on two legal matters involving Dos Republicas Coal Partnership vs. David Saucedo and Maverick County in the 293 and 365 Judicial District Courts.

The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce hosted their 90th Annual banquet where District 74th State Representative Poncho Nevarez gave a speech on the importance of community, and what he does to represent Maverick County in government.

The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce announced a new speaker for its upcoming 90th annual banquet, scheduled for Friday, February 24. The event will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Eagle Pass International Center for Trade.
Nevarez addresses rollback petition

As issues between the county and a group of taxpayers seeking a rollback election continue making headlines, things have gotten heated. While those issues continue, many other residents are now looking at the problem as a major distraction for a county government that has been trying to figure out how to provide the much needed services to areas within the county that are in dire need of help and repair.
Texas State Representative Poncho Nevarez recently addressed the local issue regarding the rollback election and petition.
