EPWWS reports computer system was hacked in November, December

Eagle Pass Water Work System Manager Jorge Barrera has announced that the EPWWS computer systems have been hacked. Barrera states that one of the system’s main servers was hacked into multiple times since late November and into early December, until it was caught.

MCHD to host free Health & Wellness expo this November
The Maverick County Hospital District, in conjunction with Hope-K and the City of Eagle Pass, will be hosting their 2nd Annual Health & Wellness Expo.
The event will take place on November 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the International Center for Trade, and is a chance for the community to take advantage of completely free health services and information.

School board candidates set for November

Tuesday marked the end of registration for the EPISD school board election in November.
Positions 1, 2, 6, and 7 will be voted on, and are currently held by board members Humberto Torralba, Ignacio “Nacho” Saucedo, Hector Alvarez, and Glenna Purcell, respectively.
