Several musical groups will participate in a benefit concert scheduled for Sunday, October 1, at the Maverick County Lake from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

   The community is being asked to donate school supplies for the annual Stuff The Bus campaign to be held Saturday, July 22. 

   The event will be taking place at the Maverick County Lake from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

   Items needed for the event include pencils, pens, loose-leaf paper, spiral notebooks, erasers, colored pencils, crayons, rulers, scissors, pencil boxes and pouches, book bags and backpacks, school glue and glue sticks.

   The supplies will benefit the 11th Annual Back to School Health and Social Services Fair.

   Power 92.7 and KEPS Tejano y mas will be broadcasting the event live.

Maverick County will be opening the splash pad free to the public from Monday through Friday during the months of June, July, and through August from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Lions Club of Eagle Pass restocked the Maverick County Lake with approximately 600 pounds of fish on Thursday, in preparation for a fishing event held over the weekend.
