The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department and Eagle Pass Fire Department responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Highway 277 between a car and motorcycle on Saturday, July 22.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening, a rollover involving an F250 and a Ram utility truck occurred on Highway 277. 

Only one person was transported to the hospital to be checked, but none of the occupants of either vehicle suffered serious injuries, said Fire Chief Manuel Mello. Both vehicles however had very visible damage.

Unofficial reports state that the incident could have been a result of texting while driving. 

   A fatal head-on collision between two semi-truck trailers occurred one mile outside of Quemado early Saturday morning.

   A rollover occurred on US Highway 277 in Normandy Thursday afternoon.
