The City of Eagle Pass is in preparation for their special election to replace resigning City Council Member Gloria Hernandez. 

Long time public servant and business owner William (Billy) Davis registered his candidacy for City Council on Monday, October 16,  minutes away from the 5:00 p.m. deadline. 

Ernesto Saucedo,  the U.S. Post Master in Eagle Pass, has registered to contend for the Eagle Pass City Council  position left open due to the automatic resignation of Councilwomane Gloria Hernandez who will be running for Maverick County Judge.

Local Attorney and City Councilwoman Gloria Hernandez announced her intent to run for the position of Maverick County Judge in the upcoming electoral process, and with doing so is now subject to an automatic resignation from the position of Eagle Pass City Council member.
