Eagle Pass Water Work System Manager Jorge Barrera has announced that the EPWWS computer systems have been hacked. Barrera states that one of the system’s main servers was hacked into multiple times since late November and into early December, until it was caught.

Eagle Pass Water Works System General Manager Jorge Barrera and his administration are in the process of promoting a new awareness campaign to alleviate the problems of drainage clogs caused by the incorrect disposal of grease by home owners and even restaurants.
EPWWS 2016 water quality report

The Eagle Pass Water Works System has released its 2016 Water Quality Report that is conducted in unison with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality.
The 2016 Consumer Confidence Report Water Quality test was conducted by TCEQ and shows no violation by EPWWS on the regulated substances that are checked by both agencies in different samples throughout the year.

City approves refi of $4.5 million in EPWWS bonds

The Eagle Pass City Council approved the refinancing of $4,540,000 in bonds belonging to the Eagle Pass Water Works System in order to lower payment amounts, thus providing relief for the EPWWS customers under the proposed $54.7 million dollar expansion that is being sought.
