Infant dies inside of vehicle

The Eagle Pass 911 services received an emergency call at approximately 4:40 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 regarding a young child trapped inside a vehicle at the Eagle Pass High school parking lot announced Eagle Pass Fire Chief Manuel Mello.

The Eagle Pass Independent School District and its Board of Trustees congratulated and honored the C.C. Winn High School Boys’ Soccer team who became District 29-5A and Bi- District Champions this year.

The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees held a dedication ceremony for longtime band director Raul A. Gonzalez on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
EPISD police department informs community of safety measures
The Eagle Pass Independent School District is currently investigating an incident which occurred last Friday afternoon at Memorial Junior High where a 14-year-old student made a comment about carrying a gun and injuring classmates. The comment raised alarm and widespread concern among many parents in light of recent tragedies across our country. The student was identified and is the subject of an ongoing investigation.
EPISD recognizes school board members
The Eagle Pass Independent School District honored the EPISD Board of Trustees at their meeting held on Tuesday , February 6.
During the citizens communications and recognition portion of the meeting the board was recognized for their hard work and dedication to the district, faculty, students and above all the community.
All six board members were addressed individually by different students who were there representing every school within the district.
School boards opts out of SB 693 requiring seatbelts on school buses
The Eagle Pass Independent School District held a lively discussion over Texas Senate Bill 693 which requires for all brand new school buses to have seat belts beginning in 2018.
During the course of the meeting the school board discussed the issue with faculty members and their attorney.
