Maverick County has voted in favor of submitting formal proposals for the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) used by law enforcement agencies in the United States for collecting and reporting data on crimes; local, state and federal agencies generate NIBRS data from their records management systems.

The Maverick County Commissioners Court approved the lowering of the 2017-2018 Tax Rate by 3 cents per every $100 valuation going from $0.54239 to $0.51200 at their meeting held on Thursday September 21.

The Maverick County Commissioners Court held their regular monthly meeting on Monday August 14 in which they took action on two agenda items regarding the Texas Community Development Block Grant 2017/2018 Colonia Construction (CFC) Grant Application to the Texas Department of Agriculture and the selection of the project under the 2017/2018 TXCDBG Colonia Construction (CFC) application of approximately $500,000.
