Lady Mavericks fall short in district playoffs

The Eagle Pass C. C. Winn High School Lady Mavericks Basketball Team lost to the Flour Bluff High School Lady Hornets with a score of 55 to 20 in the 5A Bi--District Championship Game for Region IV on Monday, February 12.

The C.C. Winn Lady Mavericks opened up district play on Friday, January 5, hosting Floresville Lady Jaguars. After going 11-11 in non-district play, the Lady Mavericks came out hungry and ready to prove to 29-5A that they were for real.

     The CC Winn Lady Mavericks squared off with Cotulla this week and came up short 35-31 in a very close and defensively disputed game.

Both Coach Eric Villaseñor and Coach Tom Gonzalez have chosen two of their down linemen, the basis of their strong running games, the offensive line.
