People dealing with bridge lines and long waits have seen some relief since Monday March 19 when the United States Customs Border Protection authorities in Eagle Pass began to open more vehicle inspection booths.
This is being done to improve circulation and assist in minimizing the long waiting periods people crossing the bridge have experienced for quite a long time.

The City of Eagle Pass is announcing that this Friday, March 16, the International Bridge One will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 3 o'clock in the afternoon due to the traditional International Friendship festival embrace event between dignitaries of both countries.

The Eagle Pass International Bridge System has reported a decrease in vehicle crossings for January of 2018.
Bridge System reports show that during the month of January there was a 3.4 percent decrease when compared to January of 2017. The decrease accounts for  7,084 less vehicle crossings during this time period.
