The Eagle Pass City Council held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 5, in which they discussed and took action to approve the adoption of the 2017-2018 fiscal year budget and established procedures for formal approval by September 19, 2017.

Not one taxpayer attended the Maverick County Hospital District public hearing held on Tuesday, September 5 regarding the proposed 2017-2018 tax rate which will go from the current tax rate of 9 cents per every $100 valuation, to 12.9 cents per every $100 valuation; an increase of 3.9 cents.
