JULIE PACE, AP White House Correspondent WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is expected to acknowledge that widespread problems with his health care law's rollout are unacceptable, as the administration scrambles to fix the cascade of computer issues. Obama was scheduled to speak Monday from the Rose Garden, his first health care-focused event since the scope of the problems became apparent. The troublesome rollout of the health care exchanges has been a glaring embarrassment for Obama's signature legislative achievement. White House officials say the president will discuss steps the administration is taking to address the failures, including ramping up staffing at call centers where people can apply for insurance by phone.

TAMI ABDOLLAH, Associated Press LOS ANGELES (AP) —A baggage handler has been arrested following a police investigation into two dry ice explosions at Los Angeles International Airport. Dicarlo Bennett, a 28-year-old employee for the ground handling company Servisair, was booked Tuesday for possession of a destructive device near an aircraft. He is being held on $1 million bail. Police had stepped up patrols and increased its checks on employees after the blasts took place Sunday night and then again Monday night.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A student at an Austin high school has shot and killed himself as others gathered nearby for lunch. School officials say no one else was harmed in the shooting shortly after noon Tuesday at Lanier High School. Junior Alex Hernandez told the Austin American-Statesman that the boy was sitting alone in a courtyard outside the cafeteria when he pulled out a handgun. Superintendent Meria Carstarphen says in a statement posted on the Austin school district's website that the school was placed on lockdown before students were released to the custody of their parents.
