Chief Rodriguez estimates the cost of said equipment to be in the range of $80,000.00.
He elaborated that the tower will serve to further allow his men to protect the general population in case of different emergencies.
The tower will have a series of ladders which the firefighters will effectively use to practice on in emergency situations as well as a form of rappelling and/or scaling up and down the sides of buildings.
The tower itself would measure about three stories in height and would be an ideal tool to train his personnel and he has seen the mechanism put to good use in other departments across the country.
He hopes that City Council and City Administration will agree with him that the equipment would enhance the effectiveness of our force and also hopes that they may be able to find the necessary funds to purchase this new tool.
