EPWWS manager Jorge Barrera stated that the waterworks system is set to commence these projects, the first of several on schedule after years of planning.
Barrera added that the downtown waterlines are a priority and will be the first project the system tackles.
Most of the water lines in the downtown area are over 70 - years-old with some even being in existence for close to 100 years.
The projects to be taken on are part of a proposed $50,000,000 revitalization project the EPWWS and City of Eagle Pass started working on a few years ago.
The first two projects are scheduled to start during the month of July.
