The event was sponsored by Wal-Mart, the Eagle Pass Evening Lions Club and Maverick County, and was a great success.
During the event, numerous entities provided vital information to the kids and also held a fishing contest. Representatives from the Texas Game Warden’s office served as judges during the fishing contest event.
The children were provided snacks, hot dogs and other treats during their outing to fish at the lake.
The Maverick County lake had over 500 fish added to it this past week in preparation to the fishing event.
