Maverick County Food Pantry continues serving the community’s needy on a daily basis

The Maverick County Food Pantry and Family Services, which was established in 2012, continues providing vital food services and assistance for residents of the community on a daily basis. 

The Maverick County Food Pantry and Family Services held its first food distribution back on Monday, January 23, 2012, and have provides tons of commodities to residents from the community since then.

Every year the program continues to grow and so does the need for assistance for residents who often struggle through food disparities in a community that has a high poverty level.

The Food Pantry distributes food dispenses for families and residents who qualify for these services.

To anyone interested in applying for services through the Maverick County Food Pantry you will need to show a light or water bill, a valid identification and proof of monthly income.

The Food Pantry provides different services, including through The Emergency Food Assistance Program and Donations as well.

Recently the United States Postal Service donated a large number of dispenses to the Food Pantry which were collected from their Stamp the Hunger Food Drive and Students from the C.C. Winn High School’s ROTC Program assisted in packing the dispenses to be ready to be dispersed among the community residents who use the program.
