The incident occurred in the 1500 Block of El Indio Highway, at the intersection of Austin St., at approximately 11:10 on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Eagle Pass Police Department Public Information officer Humberto Garza Jr. reported the police department were summoned to the scene of the crime regarding a gunshot victim.

Upon arrival at the scene, Police Department officers and Eagle Pass Fire Department EMS services made contact with two female victims who required medical assistance from their injuries. EPFD, EMS personnel triaged the victims and transported them to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for further treatment and evaluation. Garza stated that the case is being treated as a gunshot an assault incident and is being investigated.

Further information on the type of weapon that was used to wound the female individual and details into the matter will be sought. Eagle Pass Police Department Personnel are seeking to find at least three people alleged to be involved in this altercation: two females and a male adult, as per reports.

The subjects left the scene in a vehicle that could not be described at the time of publication.
