In accordance with the Texas Comptrollers Office, approximately $40,950,982 were spent in Eagle Pass during December 2018 as compared to the same time period in 2017 which had $35,030,410 spent.The City of Eagle Pass receives one cent per every taxable dollar spent within city limits which resulted in $ 409,509.82 in sales tax revenues allocated to them for the month. The amount of sales tax revenues allocated tothe city increased by $ 59,205.72 during December as compared to the same month in 2017. which generated $ 350,304.10 in sales taxes allocated.
The City ended the year with a 7 % increase in sale tax allocated funding going from $ 4,772,525.55 in 2017 to$ 5,101,057.56 in total sales taxes allocated this year.
The County of Maverick also saw an increase in sales tax revenues allocated to them during the month of December going from $183,802.45 in December 2017 to $224,970.10 this year.Maverick County also saw an increase in sales tax funding during the entire year going from $2,454,959.36in 2017 to $2,719,542.33 during 2018 an 11 % increase.A review of the annual sales tax allocation history shows an increase in revenues for both entities during the p
