The building will be set up next to the Livestock Show barn
at the Maverick County Lake for public use.
This building will serve a great purpose as every year, hundreds
of local children who are part of the Eagle Pass
Independent School District participate in the Livestock show
program and through the Future Farmers of America (FFA).

Trustees are expected to take appropriate action and approve
a Resolution 2018/2019-06 pursuant to Texas Education Code
11.151 to transfer a Surplus Portable Building no longer necessary
for the operation of the District to Maverick County
Junior Livestock Show for public use.
The Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Association has
agreed to assume the cost of moving the surplus building in
exchange for the district transferring the building to the
MCJLSA. The MCJLSA events continue to grow on a yearly
basis and the building being donated by the school
district will be used to house part of the yearly show which
