McDonald’s continues to be very active in the community by hosting numerous events throughout the year in conjunction with the Eagle Pass Independent School District.

One of the events they hold on a monthly basis is a door decorating contest which allows different classrooms in the elementary level to participate in a Mcdoor decorating contest. The chosen winners are then awarded a happy meal for each of the students within the winning classroom.

This past week longtime community outreach coordinator for McDonald’s Angie Mendoza visited Perfecto Mancha Elementary where a winner was chosen for their door decorating contest.

Mendoza and a group of judges visited the classrooms who participated and once a winner was chosen they presented the winning class with their prize.

The contest judges included Eagle Pass Fire Chief Manuel Mello, Peace Officers J. Pacheco, and M. Carmona.

That same day McDonalds hosted a group of teachers from Perfecto Mancha Elementary for Mcteacher Night.

Perfecto Mancha Elementary teachers were kept busy at the event with hundreds of community members helping the teachers raise funds with every order purchased.

A portion of what’s sold during the 3-hour event held is donated by McDonald's to the participating school.

McDonald's continues supporting EPISD with many projects, events, and contests including the McTeacher Night which raises funds for the district’s schools.

On Monday, October, 15 Angie Elizondo presented Graves Elementary School with their portion of the sales they had during their McTeachers Night event last month.
