The Hospital District is looking at expanding medical services and is continuously looking at bringing in specialized physicians to provide services that are much needed in our community but not readily available. Once back in open session the MCHD Board of Trustees voted in favor of requesting that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Terri Patlan Contreras continue with the recruitment process.
Some of the specialty physicians that are being looked into include Endocrinologist, Gastro-enterologist, Rheumatologist, Neurologist, Dermatologist, and other specialty care providers.
At this point in time, the District and Fort Duncan Regional Medical Centers are working together to attract and recruit the much-needed health care professionals into our community. This work may also begin to focus on recruiting physicians that are already established in our community.
