The holiday, which is currently observed every year on the last Monday of May, will be held on May 28, 2018. During this time many people visit cemeteries and memorials, particularly to honor those who have given their lives to God and Country. Many families and military personnel take the time to go and place an American flag on thousands of grave in cemeteries all across the Country. Others, military personnel march in remembrance and honor of their fallen Comrades. Locally a group of military veterans from all branches will be setting out on a march (Ruck) on Monday, May, 28 in honor of those fallen heroes.
The march will begin at 8 am and will continue for hours as they Ruck for a cause. If you happen to see these soldiers out during their march please stop by or honk your horn in appreciation for their service and dedication to never forget their fallen. Freedom is a light for which many men have died in darkness. These words burn eternally in the hearts of all who have fought for the very freedoms that we often take for granted.
Let us never forget and always remember our fallen heroes, those who gave their all to our country and freedoms.
