Thousands of tires littered the VFW Park along Crane St. Residents of the Chula Vista Subdivision were subjected to this health hazard for many years. Maverick County under the guide of in-coming Commissioner Jerry Morales and County Judge David Saucedo took action and cleaned-up the park, removing the used tires, eliminating the health and environmental hazards. During their meeting held on January 25 the Commissioners Court voted in favor of approving the installation of a new playground set at VFW park. The County continues trying to improve what was once a health hazard created by an administration that was irresponsibly putting everyone in danger.
