2 arrested for
burglary of
vehicle
Eagle Pass Police Officers responded to a call of a burglary of a vehicle in progress within the 1500 and 1600 block of First Street at midnight on Saturday, March 3, 2018. EPPD reports state that officers were

advised of three male subjects that were seen running into church property within the 800 block of Comal Street.
Officers encountered the male subjects who led officers on a brief foot pursuit. All three male subjects were detained and transported to the Eagle Pass Police Department.
Two of the male suspects were determined to be adults and identified as 17 year old Javier Hernandez of Eagle Pass and 17 year old Marco Antonio Lopez also of Eagle Pass. Hernandez was presented before a magistrate and formally charged with burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $5000 bond.
Lopez was also presented before a magistrate and formally charged with burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a $3000 bond. The third suspect was determined to be a minor and was processed accordingly by investigators.

El Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass informó el arresto de un hombre de 22 años identificado como Jesús Valles de Eagle Pass.
Valles fue arrestado por robar un Ford Fusion 2011 de una casa en el área de Concho St. Los oficiales de policía pudieron detenerlo mientras conducía el vehículo.
En otro caso de robo de vehículos, los delincuentes se robaron un Cadillac 2006 de la misma área, Concho St.
Este vehículo fue recuperado ya que había sido abandonado en un área de la comunidad.
Los detectives del Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass no creen que este robo esté relacionado.


Valles arrested for theft of motor

The Eagle Pass Police Department reported the arrest of a 22 year-old male identified as Jesus Valles from Eagle Pass.
Valles was arrested for stealing a 2011 Ford Fusion from a home in the Concho St area. Police officials were able to detain the subject while he was driving the vehicle around.
In another vehicle robbery case, criminals stole a 2006 Cadillac from the same area on Concho St.
This vehicle was recovered as it had been abandoned in an area of the community.
Detectives from the Eagle Pass Police Department don’t think that these robberies are related.

El Departamento de Policía de Eagle Pass informó que Andrea Galvan, de 20 años, fue arrestada este fin de semana después de chocar contra un objeto. Los informes oficiales de la policía indican que los agentes que investigaban un accidente de un  vehículo   en donde sospecharon signos de intoxicación por parte de Galván al ser interrogados sobre el accidente.
Tres pruebas de sobriedad de campo estandarizadas se llevaron a cabo en Galvan en el que tuvo un bajo rendimiento en el informe.
Posteriormente, Galván fue arrestada y acusada de conducir intoxicada y luego presentado ante un juez. Galvan fue enviada al Centro de Detención de Tom Bowles.


Police arrest woman on DWI charges
The Eagle Pass Police Department reported that 20 year old Andrea Galvan was arrested this weekend after crashing into a fixed object. Police official reports state that officers investigating a motor vehicle accident suspected signs of intoxication by Galvan when being questioned over the accident.
Three standardized field sobriety test were conducted on Galvan in which she performed poorly, the report states.
Galvan was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and later presented before a magistrate. Galvan was remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of a personal recognizance bond.
