Press Release

Eagle Pass, TX. - During the month of December, IBC Bank-Eagle Pass employees and board of directors donated more than $4563 which was matched dollar for dollar by IBC Bank to the program

“It’s a Brighter Christmas.”  Because of the employees generosity this holiday season they brought holiday cheer to over 1080 children and senior citizens from multiple local organizations including Kids are First Head Starts, Teaching and Mentoring Communities, Wintergarden Women’s Shelter, four nursing homes and 25 area families.
IBC employees shared Christmas joy with senior citizens at Eagle Pass Nursing and Rehabilitation, Maverick Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hacienda La Paz, and Amistad Nursing Home (Uvalde, Texas). Mariachi Relampago and the Men’s Christian Choir also joined IBC Bank employees and brought smiles, dancing and singing to over 300 residents.
IBC employees with special guest Ms. Claus also presented gifts to over 780 students at KAF Las Colinas, KAF Rosita Valley, KAF LBJ, KAF Seco Mines, TMC Chula Vista, TMC Seco Mines, TMC Balcones Heights, and the children from Wintergarden Women’s Shelter.
Additionally, 25 low-income families were adopted as part of our Annual Food Drive program and received a much-needed holiday meal that included a turkey or ham and all the trimmings.
“While our dedication and commitment to our community is active all year, the holiday season is a special time and opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of those in need,” IBC Bank IABC Project Chair Clarie Trevino said.
“It’s a Brighter Christmas is one of our favorite programs and a great way end the year”. An extension of the bank’s “We Do More” philosophy, the company began this corporate-wide initiative in 1995 as a way to help deserving families and children enjoy the holidays.
While the spirit and purpose of “It’s a Brighter Christmas” is the same corporate-wide, IBC Bank tailors its outreach to meet the most pressing needs of the local area through its IBC CCDC Employee Advisory Board (EAB).
This unique organization, which exists in every IBC Bank market throughout Texas and Oklahoma, encourages the bank’s employees to engage in community service and civic involvement.
“Being able to bring joy, music, and dance to the lives of those who might not otherwise have a Christmas and seeing the smiles on the children’s beautiful faces is our motivation to organize this initiative year after year.”
