Family, friends and coworkers gathered on Friday December 29, 2017 to pay their respects to Antonio Cordova, the US Border Patrol agent who was

tragically killed in a head-on collision last week on Old Uvalde Road. Cordova was driving back into Maverick County after he had completed his shift with Border Patrol when he was involved in a collision that claimed the lives of two others individuals. Cordova was only 27 years-old.

Cordova’s family was accompanied by hundreds of law enforcement officials including U.S Border Patrol agents from the surrounding areas, Eagle Pass Police Department Officials, Maverick County Sheriff Deputies, Department of Public Safety Officers, and Custom and Border Protection agents during his ceremonial burial.

Agent Cordova will be remembered by all who knew him as a young and outgoing person who loved his country and served it under his occupation as a United States Border Patrol Agent.

Cordova received all honors during his funeral service and an American flag was presented to the family in honor of the agent's life and service to his country.
