EMC Strategy Group, LLC Owner & Founder Janice M. Gonzalez will lead the Procurement Workshop. Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops in order to access the state procurement online resources. Workshop participants will be provided step-by-step procedures on how to research and seek state procurement bid opportunities.
This is the third procurement workshop held by the Eagle Pass BEDC since September. Previous workshops included a City of Eagle Pass Procurement Workshop and a Federal General Services Administration Procurement Workshop. The procurement workshop series are part of the Government Relations BEDC Sub-Committee Goals, which were set in August. “I am exceptionally pleased that we are following through on our goal to bring awareness of local, state, and federal procurement bid opportunities for our locally owned businesses,” says Cecilia Mascorro, BEDC Government Relations Chair.
Since the launch of the BEDC, Mayor Ramsey English Cantu and the City Council have pushed for greater outreach to the business community. BEDC Chairman Morris Libson has been working through the BEDC Committee and its professional staff advisors Janice and Ernie Gonzalez to address priorities to support economic growth in the city and the region. Support for local businesses are one of the BEDC’s top priorities.
“Mayor Ramsey English-Cantu, Mayor Pro-tem Yolanda Ramon, Councilmen Rudy Villalpando, Luis Sifuentes, and Billy Davis have demonstrated their strong support for the local business community and the efforts of the BEDC and we couldn’t be more appreciate to have them on our corner,” says Libson.
