It’s estimated that approximately 78 million Americans currently have HPV which many of whom do not know they’re infected.
The good news is that HPV can be prevented with a vaccine, and cervical cancer can often be prevented with regular screening and follow-up care.
Cervical cancer screenings can help detect abnormal cells early before they turn carcinogenic. Most deaths from cervical cancer can be prevented by regular Pap Smear tests and follow-up health care.
