The Eagle Pass Police Department began an investigation on the matter armed with a surveillance video that assisted them in seeking the male subject.
During the past week detectives received information that the motorcycle been taken apart and stuffed in the trunk of a vehicle and crossed into Mexico.
Later, Gomez walked into the EPPD and gave a statement admitting that he had taken the motorcycle and crossed it into Mexico.
Gomez has since been arrested and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center under a $ 5,000 bond. Gomez is facing felony charges and could face up to two years of incarceration and a fine up to $10,000.
The motorcycle was recovered on December 22, 2017 and was given back to the rightful owner.
