Sergio Mendez, 20 years old, was caught near the convenience store a short time after the robbery.

Information from the Eagle Pass Police Department states that the individual attempted to rob a convenience store on El Indio highway while threatening the cashier with a gun. Mendez told the cashier to wait for the rest of the shoppers to leave the store and then hand over any cash in the register. The cashier was able to notify police about the incident, but Mendez made off with approximately $22.

A search was then conducted and police were able to find and detain the man soon after the robbery.

Mendez is now awaiting criminal charges for robbery and evading arrest.

  Un  hombre fue arrestado por el departamento de policía de Eagle Pass bajo 2 cargos que incluyen evadir arresto , y por robo. Sergio Méndez, de 20 años, fue atrapado cerca de la tienda de conveniencia poco tiempo después de cometer robo.

   La información del departamento de policía de Eagle Pass indica que el individuo intentó robar en una tienda de conveniencia en El Indio Hwy mientras amenazaba al cajero con una pistola. Méndez le dijo al cajero que esperara a que el resto de los compradores abandonara la tienda y entregara dinero en efectivo. 

  El cajero pudo notificar a la policía sobre el incidente, pero Méndez se fué con aproximados $22 dólares.

   Luego se realizó una búsqueda y el departamento de policía pudo encontrar y detener al sujeto poco después del robo.

   El sujeto ahora espera cargos criminales por robo y evadir el arresto.
