City council honors Gloria Hernandez for her years of service

The Eagle Pass City Council recognized retiring Council Member Gloria Hernandez for her dedication to public service for the past 4 years as a council member. 


Mayor Ramsey E.Cantu presented Hernandez with a plaque of recognition during the council meeting held on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
 “I’m very appreciative that Council woman Hernandez brought forth a lot of ways to assure policy in our city government, to work towards making sure that administration was accountable. She was a great leader from the council perspective.We want to recognize and thank you for your leadership commitment and dedication to the citizens of this great city.” said Cantu 
 Hernandez thanked the city council, voters and city administration for working with her and for all the accomplishments that they had together during her time as a city public official.
 “I want to say to my colleagues it was an honor to serve as a member of this council alongside each one of you. I enjoyed being part of such a progressive body of local government, ” said Hernandez.
 Hernandez also thanked the administration and employees of the city of Eagle Pass for their hard work and dedication. 
 Hernandez has left the Eagle Pass City Council to run for the position of Maverick County Judge.
