“We’re very proud to break ground on another great project in our city,” said Mayor Cantu. “The City of Eagle Pass will have a one of a kind skate park for all our skaters to enjoy. It is a great sport and we were amazed to see how many skaters are in our city. Congratulation to everyone and we look forward to inaugurating this project in three months.”

The City began the process to build a new skate park back in 2016, spending approximately $375,000 as part of the city’s Capital Improvement Projects.

The City Council and administration had gone through seven different proposals before  awarding the contract to Spohn Ranch Skateparks to design and construct the new park.   

The new skate park is going to be located on the Flowers Street under the overpass.

    El Ayuntamiento y la administración habían pasado por siete propuestas diferentes antes de adjudicar el contrato a Spohn Ranch Skateparks para diseñar y construir el nuevo parque.
